POTATO HAM SCALLOP Place half of the ham in a 2-quart casserole. Cover with half of the potatoes and half of the onion. Stir half of the flour over; season with salt and pepper. Repeat layering ham, potatoes, and onion. Season with additional salt and pepper. Sift remaining flour on top. Pour milk over all. Bake, covered, in a 350° oven for 1 hour to 1 1/4 hour or until potatoes are nearly tender. Uncover. Combine bread crumbs and melted butter; sprinkle on top of the casserole. Top with parsley. Bake 15 minutes more. Serves 4 to 6.
Variation: Place grated cheddar cheese between layers. Mix some grated cheddar cheese with bread crumbs and butter before baking for last 15 minutes.

 

2 cups Cubed ham fully cooked
6 medium Potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 cup Finely chopped onion
1/3 cup all-purpose Flour
2 cups Milk
3 tbsp Dry bread crumbs
1 tbsp Butter or margarine, melted
2 tbsp Finely snipped parsley (optional)

TERIYAKI CHOPSCombine first 5 ingredients together in large flat pan.
Stir well. Add chops in single layer. Let stand 1 hr. Turn often s~ all meat marinates. Put chops into small roaster. Add water to marinade. Pour over chops. Cover Bake at 325°F oven until tender, about 1-1/2 hrs. To make sauce, stir some hot water in pan after removing pork chops. Stir, being sure to get all bits an color from side of pan.

 



3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup soya sauce
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. lemon juice
6 pork chops, trimmed
Water - to thin the sauce

BEAN SALAD1 can of each ingredient. Mix and chill.

 

 

Green and Yellow beans
Chick peas
Kidney beans
1 chopped onion
1 ground pepper
3/4 cup of white sugar
1/3 cup salad oil
2/3 cup of vinegar
1 tsp of salt & pepper
